Can Directli be used where an account has a joint mandate?
Yes, Directli can be used for bank accounts with joint signatories.
Your customer will still have to go through the sign up process as the online person, with one person setting it up with their contact details. The account can be set up on behalf of an organisation by checking the box below.
The customer will enter the organisation address and bank account details.
There will either be a check box on the sign up form that triggers a form to be issued to the customers email address (see below) or there will a link on the payment page for the client to download and print sign and return a mandate form with both signatures on.
The customer will see the following screen confirming that their direct debit is set up.
If the customer has checked the box indicating multiple signatories, the direct debit will not be authorised until the joint mandate has been received by GoCardless. The customer will receive an email with the mandate attached. This mandate can be printed, signed and returned to GoCardless ready to be set up.
